The official trailer of Thira Kadhal was released on 10 May on Think Music India’s YouTube channel. The trailer shows glimpses of a married man (Jai) enjoying family life with his wife and daughter. The film takes a turn when he meets his ex-lover (Aishwarya). Both start seeing each other and Jai also tells her about his family. What happens when Jai’s family comes to know about it forms the main theme of Theera Kaadhal. The trailer has got more than 15,00,000 views.

Netflix has acquired the post-theatrical digital rights of Thera Kaadhal. This film will be Aishwarya’s fifth film this year. She has received accolades for her performances in the films released this year. These include Run Baby Run, The Great Indian Kitchen, Soppana Sundari and Farhana. Jai, on the other hand, was last seen in Koffee With Kadhal directed by Sundar C. He will play lead roles in his upcoming films Khakee, Lady Superstar 75 and web series Label.
Sshivada has been praised for her acting skills in the recently released films 2018, Javanam Mullappovam and Vallavanukku Vallavan. Apart from these, the actress will also feature in projects like Secret Home, Idumbankari and Iravakalam. Idumbankari is in the pre-production stage while Iravakalam is in the post-production stage. Secret Home is expected to release this year.
