The trailer of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s ‘Kannai Nambathe’ promises a gripping suspense thriller

Trailer of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s long delayed film kannai nambathe was released today by the makers. Film written and directed by Mu Maaran Iravukku Aayiram KangalFame, which is in production since 2019, will now hit the screens on March 17.

The trailer shows Udhayanidhi along with Srikanth, Prasanna and Sandrayan involved in several crimes including murder on a rainy night. Udhayanidhi’s voiceover explains how there is a strong reason behind every murder. “Some kill to hide their mistakes. Some kill to prevent more mistakes. But as he says in the trailer, Udhayanidhi’s character is different from any of them. In what could be taken as a hint of the actor playing the killer, the trailer does a good job of not revealing too much about the plot and setting of the film.

Notably, the film’s title (meaning ‘Don’t believe your eyes’) is from a popular song from the 1975 MG Ramachandran film Ninaithadai Mudippavan,
