Social Welfare Minister Merugu Nagarjuna and Endowments Minister Kottu Satyanarayana along with officials inspected the works related to Ambedkar Memorial Park (Ambedkar Smriti Vanam) at Swarajya Maidan in the city on Wednesday.
MLC Jupudi Prabhakar with Secretary to Govt. (Planning) G. Mr. Vijay Kumar, NTR District Collector S. Delhi Rao and other ministers inspected the 25 feet model statue of Dr. BR Ambedkar to be installed by next year.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Nagarjuna said that a 125 ft statue of Ambedkar would be installed and the memorial park would be developed by April 14, 2023.
He said that the progress of works would be reviewed once in every fortnight. Shri Satyanarayana said that all efforts would be made to complete the project within the stipulated time.
