The new commissioner of the corporation V. Sivakrishnamurthy has said that the functioning of the civic body will be streamlined in such a way that maximum benefits are given to the residents.
During an informal interaction with reporters after assuming office on Friday, Shri Sivakrishnamurthy said that cleanliness campaign, drinking water supply, construction of more facilities in corporation schools, issuance of birth and death certificates etc. would be streamlined.
He said that the projects being implemented under the Smart City Mission program would be completed within the stipulated time frame.

While he was serving as Deputy Collector of Cheranmahadevi, Collector V.
