India’s Ambassador to the United Nations Ruchira Kamboj has said that today is the best time to be a woman in India. Also said that the Government of India is asserting the rights of women at all levels. India’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations organized a high-level discussion on “Leveraging Public-Private Literacy for Greater Women’s Access to Technology and Education” at the UN Headquarters this week.

India’s Permanent Representative to the UN Kamboj said, “There has been a lot of progress in India, especially in the last eight-nine years and today, I think it is probably the best time to be a woman in India. I am saying this very sincerely.
“The government is making you (women) voters completely at every level. The Prime Minister has emphasized on the women-led model of progress and development.
