Aditya Iyer is Virtual, a bot generated from Artificial Intelligence. Every image on their profile is AI-generated and their captions are processed by ChatGPT, a dialogue-based chatbot that has emerged as a tipping point for its ability to have completely natural conversations.

The creation of Aditya Iyer is part of a marketing campaign by matchmaking service BharatMatrimony.

BharatMatrimony has said that they launched the Instagram profile at the beginning of Valentine’s week and within a few days it has garnered over 10,000 followers. He began celebrating Rose Day, Propose Day, Kiss Day and declared his intention to find a Valentine, creating buzz and excitement among his followers. However, on Valentine’s Day, it was revealed that Aditya Iyer, the true Valentine, was not the real one. Rather, a campaign has been setup to showcase the importance of connecting with real people looking for real love,” the service provider said in a statement.

Arjun Bhatia, Chief Marketing Officer, BharatMatrimony, said the campaign aims to emphasize that “perfection is not real”. “Each of us is beautifully flawed. It takes two lovably imperfect people who are perfect for each other to create a happy marriage. And for those who are looking for their perfect match, come to BharatMatrimony , where you’ll find real people looking for real love.” Added.

The Perfect Valentine Aditya Iyer is just one example of how artificial intelligence has influenced how we find love this Valentine’s season.

According to a study by cyber security provider McAfee, 78 percent of Indian adults fell for love letters written on ChatGPT ahead of Valentine’s Day.

The study titled ‘Modern Love’ also found that 62 per cent of Indian adults plan to use AI to help them write their love letters this Valentine’s Day. Nearly 70 percent are exploring how they can use AI to improve their profiles on dating apps.
