Three drowned in two incidents in Khammam district

In another incident of drowning in old undivided Khammam district, two farm laborers were washed away in an irrigation canal at Bojya Tanda in Julurupadu mandal on Saturday.

Narasimha Rao, 34, and Babu Rao, 42, were identified on Saturday afternoon while taking a bath in a canal near Bojya Tanda.

They are residents of Papkollu village of the same mandal. A search operation was launched late in the evening to trace the two.

In another incident, a 34-year-old youth allegedly drowned in an open well in Kattugudem village of Karepally mandal on Saturday.

According to sources, a young man, a resident of Madharam village, accidentally slipped into a well in a field while trying to fetch water to quench his thirst.
