The official said that Matullah, who was specifically included India About 8-10 months ago, he was arrested with 3.9 kg of heroin for handling the narcotics trade network run by the Dada brothers, while searches conducted at the residence of Ishwinder Singh led to the recovery of commercial quantities of heroin.

The NIA said several consignments of heroin, concealed in apparently innocuous consignments of goods such as semi-processed talc stones and bituminous coal, were smuggled into India through various Indian ports including Mundra, Gujarat and Kolkata and further through trucks. was moved from New Delhi.

“The investigation unearthed a vast and extensive network of drug smugglers, international facilitators and importers, distributors and local wholesalers and retailers using conduit, counterfeit or shell companies, from several countries including Afghanistan, Iran, Huge international drug smuggling rackets are operating. and the United Arab Emirates, ”said the spokesperson.

The NIA said the investigation conducted so far revealed that five consignments of heroin-laden items were imported into India between November 2020 and September 2021.

Three such consignments of semi-processed talcum stones eventually reached a godown in Delhi’s Neb Sarai, which was hired by absconding accused Najibullah Khalid in the name of another Afghan national, Noorjahi Abdul Salam, the official said.

The official said that Afghan experts separated the heroin from the consignment hidden in this warehouse and then sent it for distribution in the market through a network of drug suppliers and peddlers.

The NIA said the material concealed through the arrested accused Jasbir Singh and Ishwinder Singh was removed to another godown hired by Shaheen alias “Rock”, an aghan civilian and a key associate of Najibullah. The official said Ishwinder Singh, a renowned drug distributor, was in direct contact with one of the accused Javed from Afghanistan and a key associate of Hasan Dad.

The spokesperson said that on the instructions of Javed, Ishwinder Singh with the connivance of Jasbir Singh fabricated the false documents and rented a godown at village Hamidpur, Delhi, from where the semi-processed talaq was transferred from the Neb Sarai godown for further disposal. was gone, the spokesperson said.

The NIA said that Ishwinder Singh’s continued investigation revealed the presence in Delhi of Matullah, a close aide and aide of Javed, which led to his arrest.
