According to a report, Sairat was made on a budget of Rs 4 crore, but the film grossed more than Rs 100 crore at the box office. The total box office collection of this movie was Rs 110 crore worldwide.

Sairat premiered at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival, where it received a standing ovation. The film became the highest-grossing Marathi film of all time. Rinku Rajguru won the National Film Award — Special Mention at the 63rd National Film Awards.
