Less than a week after the premiere of the much-loved don’t worry darling In Venice, lead star Harry Styles rocked the Toronto International Film Festival with the premiere of Tragic Gay Romance my cop,

The film stars Emma Corinne and David Dobson alongside Styles. Styles plays a closed 1950s policeman in Brighton, England, who falls in love with a museum curator (Dobson), yet marries a local schoolteacher (Corin). The story revolves around an unresolved love triangle that lasts 40 years due to the injustice of British 50s laws against homosexuality and the suppression of many characters.

Inspired by the life of Howard’s End author E.M. Forster, the narrative is split between the ’50s and ‘2000s. Gina Mackie, Linus Roche and Rupert Everett play older versions of the three characters.

Directed by Michael Grandage and adapted from the novel by Bethan Roberts, my cop It is set to open in theaters on October 21, before streaming on November 4 on Amazon Prime Video.
