Time travel, as we have seen it in movies and television shows, is a fascinating dream for humanity. This is why when a TikTok user claimed to be a time-traveller, the videos went viral and the person got tons of questions in the comments. A 21-second long video by TikTok user unisobreiviente posted on Monday shows the view below, possibly from a terrace. There are big buildings and empty squares and some cars parked on the road, but there are no humans. Yes, a bird is flying in the beginning of the video. “My name is Javier and I am the only one in the world,” writes a TikTok user in the bio. There is an Instagram account of the same username, which posts videos similar to Tiktok. “I’ve traveled in time since 2027 and I’m alone in the world.” Reacting to the video, which has garnered over 2.2 million views on TikTok, another social media user pointed out that these were actually videos from the lockdown. “This is clearly a video from behind in lockdown when no one went out,” read the comment.
Another user said, ‘If you are the last person on earth then how come the traffic lights are on? How’s the electricity still there?”
Another user challenged Xavier to live stream it from a usually crowded place. In response to the comments, Javier wrote, “When you wake up, everything changes. I am stuck between 2021 to 2027. I am in your parallel world.’
It’s not so rare on social media to claim someone is a time traveler and predict what’s going to happen right now. According to Ladbill, another TikTok user, @aesthetictimewarper, who claimed to be a time traveler, made several bold predictions and asked people to be prepared for multiple dates. For example, a user claimed that NASA would discover a mirrored Earth on August 3, 2021. The prediction turned out to be false as no such discovery was made by NASA.
