Referring to the challenges arising out of the COVID pandemic, the Minister said that despite the global challenges being strained supply chains, we have done very well in terms of exports and other parameters.

According to the minister, the record level of exports of $250 billion came without hospitality and some other key sectors and additional focus on the services sector could help boost export growth further.

India now needs to focus on value added exports. It is necessary to bring employment in the country. He said that logistics is one cost that the government is considering very seriously and if the industry has any other concerns, we are ready to look into each of them.

“We are prepared to dedicate senior government officials to oversee large projects. In the larger scheme of things, we all need to support each other to bring scale to the country,” Mr. Goyal said.

“India has not only got a demographic dividend, a young population, but also a huge talent pool,” he said, urging foreign companies to invest in India.

“Come to India and grow with India because India is the future,” said Mr. Goyal.
