Karimpur MLA Roy has received many honors including Shiksha Ratna as a teacher.
According to a notification, TMC MLA Bimlendu Sinha Roy has been removed from the post of President of District Primary School Council, Nadia.
In the notification issued on Thursday, it has been said that the district magistrate will be in charge of the post till further orders.
“I have asked to initiate the process on the issue,” District Magistrate Shashank Shetty said on Friday.

Roy, the MLA of Karimpur, has received many honors including Shiksha Ratna as a teacher.
Though no reason was given in the order for his removal, sources said that the administration acted on allegations that he had taken bribe for transfer of teachers.
Also, some school inspectors had complained that he used to misbehave with them, the sources said.
Sources close to Roy rubbished the allegations, saying that some irregularities had taken place before he was appointed to the post.
