TNPSC: Applications are invited for Group-VA Services. Check Eligibility

Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has started inviting applications for the posts of Assistant Section Officer/Assistant in Tamil Nadu Secretariat Service through online mode only from eligible candidates till 21st September, who are involved in Group-VA Services, which are to be made by recruitment by transfer. Among the holders of the posts of Junior Assistant or Assistant in the Tamil Nadu Ministerial Service / Tamil Nadu Judicial Ministerial Service.

One time registration:

It is mandatory for the applicants to register their basic details through One Time Online Registration System on payment of Rs.150/- (Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Only) as Registration Fee and then they can apply for this recruitment through online mode only. Do it.

One Time Registration will be valid for five years from the date of registration. Thereafter, the registration should be renewed by paying the prescribed renewal fee. Lump sum registration will not be considered as application/examination fee for any post. An applicant should submit separate online application for each examination/recruitment for which he/she wishes to appear. The registration fee paid for One Time Registration is not the application/examination fee for this recruitment. Candidates have to pay the prescribed examination fee. Linking of Aadhaar with One Time Registration is mandatory.

For the posts of Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Other than Law and Finance Department) and Assistant Section Officer in Secretariat (Finance Department)

Applicants Category Maximum Age

1. SC / SC (Arunthiyar) and ST (Should not have completed 40 years)

Most Backward Classes / Denotified Communities, Backward Classes (Other than Backward Classes Muslims) and Backward Classes (Muslims) 35 years

‘other’ [i.e., candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs] 35 years

For the posts of Assistant in Secretariat (Other than Law and Finance Department) and Assistant (Finance Department) in Secretariat

SC/ST (Arunthiyar) and ST -35 Years

‘other’ [i.e., candidates not belonging to SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBC/DCs, BC(OBCM)s and BCMs] 30 years

The educational qualification prescribed for these posts should have been obtained by passing the essential qualification in the following order of study. 10th + HSC or its equivalent + UG degree as required under section 25 of Tamil Nadu Government Employees (Conditions of Service). Act, 2016. The results of the examination should have been declared on or before the date of notification.

Selection Process:

Based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written examination and subject to the rule of reservation of appointments (applicable to each post separately), a provisional list of eligible candidates will be announced on the website of the Commission. After verification of already uploaded certificates, eligible candidates will be called for original certificate verification followed by counseling for selection.
