Akasa Air, the startup budget airline, which was launched on August 7 with the late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala as its biggest investor, will add one aircraft every two weeks.
Akasa Air has said it remains ‘well capitalised’ and will add 72 aircraft ordered over the next five years. It will also place a ‘significantly larger’ aircraft order in the next 1.5 years. The airline inducted its third Boeing 737 MAX on Tuesday. read full story
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has directed all airlines to ensure that passengers wear masks.
The DGCA asked the airlines to ensure that the COVID-19 protocols and proper sensitization of passengers through various platforms are being followed properly during the journey. Jacqueline Fernandez has been named as an accused in a chargesheet filed by the Enforcement Directorate in the Sukesh Chandrashekhar 200 crore money laundering case.
The actress cannot be arrested yet as the court is yet to take cognizance of the chargesheet, though she may not be allowed to travel outside the country.
