maruti suzuki wagon r It tops the list with 17,766 units to its name, followed by the recently launched 2022 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga 14,889 units of the facelift were sold. The MPV registered a month-on-month (MoM) growth of +89% as the company sold 7,888 units of the Ertiga in March this year, which means that the facelift has certainly increased its popularity in the market.
Bye Nexon Ranked third, became the best-selling SUV in the Indian market in April, registering a 94% year-on-year (Y0Y) growth in sales over 6,938 units sold in the same month last year. Hyundai Creta sold 12,651 units in the said month, 188 units more as compared to April 2021. Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza stood at the fifth position with 11,764 units sold last month.
Maruti Baleno stood at 7th position with sales of 10,938 units in April 2022.
The 6th to 9th position was also occupied by Maruti Suzuki cars, namely Eeco, Baleno, DZire and Alto, which sold 11,154, 10,938, 10,701 and 10,443 units respectively. However, the sales of these four cars registered a year-on-year decline. Last but not the least, the Tata Punch Micro SUV finished as the 10th best-selling car in India in April 2022 with sales of 10,132 units, down 394 units from the previous month.
