Top models of Tata Safari, Harrier get tech boost

Tata has announced the addition of more features from its Jet Edition model to the standard Harrier and Safari SUVs. Additionally, the brand has also increased the prices of the two SUVs. Many of the features offered with the jet variant of the two SUVs will be available from the XMS variant on the Harrier and Safari.

The Harrier now gets USB Type C ports in the front row for all variants, while the XZ and above will get the second row as well. The XZS variants and higher also get enhanced ESP, which includes panic brake alert, after-effect braking and driver dose-off alert. The XZ+ variant gets electronic parking brake, disc brake on all four wheels, wireless charger and more connected car features like smartwatch app connectivity, feature usage analytics, monthly health reports, auto and manual DTC check and drive analytics.

The Safari gets the same new features as the Harrier, except for the all-wheel disc brake that it already came with; The Gold Edition only has advanced Connected Car technical features. However, the Jet Edition’s comfort head restraints have been added only to the XZ+ variant of the Safari.

Tata has also increased the prices of its entire line-up, which includes the Harrier and Safari, with an average hike of 0.9%.
