The Congress is leading with 132 wins and a lead of four seats during the counting of votes for the Karnataka assembly elections on May 13. According to the Election Commission of India data at 7.35 pm, the BJP has won 63 seats and is leading in two more. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi thanked the people of Karnataka, party leaders and workers for the victory. He also said that the five electoral guarantees that his party had promised in its manifesto would be fulfilled. NIA arrests one person in Thane fake note case of 2021
The NIA had arrested a person in the 2021 fake note case at Naupada in Thane on May 13. According to the central agency, searches conducted at six locations led to the detection of 33-year-old Mohammad Fayaz, a resident of Mumbai. Twelve sharp swords and other incriminating material connected with the case were found in his custody. Co-accused Riyaz and Nasir are currently in judicial custody for counterfeiting Indian currency notes of ₹2,000 denomination.
