Toyota Innova Hycross Hybrid MPV Launched In India, Prices Start From Rs 18.30 Lakh: Deets Here

The new Toyota Innova Highcross has been launched in India today at prices starting from Rs 18.30 lakh (ex-showroom). The MPV is based on the Toyota Innova Crysta, one of the most loved and well-known MPVs in India, and now gets a strong hybrid powertrain just like the Toyota Urban Cruiser Haider. Available in 8 variants, the MPV was earlier launched in Indonesia as the Toyota Innova Genix. Toyota Innova has been in the market for two generations and this will be the third generation model for our market. Toyota has launched the new Highcross only in the automatic gearbox option and the prices go up to Rs 28.97 lakh (ex-showroom).

2023 Toyota Innova Highcross: Design

Starting with the measurements, the new Toyota Innova Highcross measures 4,755 mm in length, 1,850 mm in width and 1,795 mm in height. The wheelbase has now tapered off at 2,850 mm. As a result, the new Innova is longer and wider than the current model, and has a longer wheelbase as well. Aesthetically, it looks sharper than ever with a host of SUV-inspired elements. The new Toyota Innova Highcross features a large hexagonal radiator grille at the front along with slim LED headlamps. On the sides, black cladding runs the entire length, while the glass area lends a more masculine appeal. The rear is also attractive, with slim lights and a dual-tone bumper.

Unlike the simple looking cabin of the Toyota Innova Crysta, the Hycross adopts a more modern and premium approach. Equipment is a full-digital and free-standing touchscreen infotainment unit that measures 10-inch. With a dual-tone black-brown theme, the interiors have an upmarket ambience. In addition, the MPV offers seating for seven or eight occupants depending on the variant. Also, the lower variants will get an analogue instrument cluster with a smaller 4.2-inch MID while the infotainment screen size gets reduced to 9-inches.

The feature list of the new Toyota Innova Highcross is quite long. For the first time in an MPV, a large panoramic sunroof has been given. In addition, the ambient lighting, faux wood finish, aluminum inserts and quilted leather seats are there to give a rich feel to the cabin. Active safety net includes lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control and more.

2023 Toyota Innova Highcross: Specs

Toyota is offering two powertrain options on the Innova Hycross in Indonesia – 2.0L hybrid and 2.0L non-hybrid. The former runs on the Atkinson cycle and develops 186 bhp, while the latter churns out 174 bhp of peak power. As of now, there is no manual gearbox option in any of the variants.
