Train caught fire at MP’s Pritam Nagar station, no casualty reported

Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) [India]Ratlam, April 23 (ANI): A fire broke out in the generator car of Ratlam-Dr Ambedkar Nagar DEMU train at Pritam Nagar station in Ratlam on Sunday morning.

“There were around 150-200 passengers in the train and all of them were safe. The fire was later doused,” said Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajneesh Kumar.

“The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. No injuries or casualties have been reported,” said the DRM.

Further investigation is underway.

Earlier on April 17, a local train caught fire at Botad railway station in Gujarat.

The train was about to leave for Ahmedabad. No one was reported injured during the incident. (ANI)
