“Traitor, Demon, Dictator”: Telangana’s KCR’s Attack On BJP

“The judiciary has to save the country from these traitors, demons and dictators,” he said.

New Delhi:

Intensifying his scathing attack on the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said there is an “undeclared emergency” in India. In a press address where he also showed a video clip of PM Modi’s old speech on falling rupee and a compilation of news clips which clearly showed how raids were stopped on leaders after joining BJP, he said , “Narendra Modi government should go and a non-BJP government should come.”

“Thanks to Indira Gandhi, she was courageous enough to declare an emergency. It was a direct, declared emergency. But today there is an undeclared emergency in India,” he said.

KCR referred to the Supreme Court’s strongly worded comments on now-suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for controversial remarks of Prophet and praised the two judges for their remarks.

He said, “Justice Surya Kant and Justice Pardiwala, I salute you. Please keep this spirit to save India. The judiciary has to save the country from these traitors, demons and dictators.”

An old video clip of the then Chief Minister Narendra Modi was played during the press conference where he is making a fiery speech about the depreciation of the rupee, blaming it on the then UPA government and seeking answers. He said, “The rupee is now going to touch Rs 80. Why are you not answering us? We are asking the same question.”

In another clip, a compilation of news broadcasts edited with quirky music shows various leaders joining the BJP. Terming the BJP as “washing powder Nirma”, KCR alleged that the leaders were raided after they joined the BJP. The video clip features Eatala Rajender, Sujana Choudhary, CM Ramesh, Hemant Biswa Sharma and Mukul Roy.

On the recent dramatic political developments in Maharashtra, the Telangana Chief Minister asked whether the BJP was “the maker of Eknath Shinde”. Shiv Sena rebel Eknath Shinde was recently sworn in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra with the support of the BJP, leaving the party’s Uddhav Thackeray faction in a minority and struggling to claim ownership. “What is the reason for this arrogance that they can bring down governments?” He asked, and took a jibe at the new government, saying it “gifted” people a 20 percent hike in electricity rates yesterday.

Responding to Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai’s comments that KCR will have the same fate as Uddhav Thackeray, when the BJP comes to power in Telangana in the next assembly elections, he said the DMK won his state with a two-thirds majority. of, while K. Annamalai could not win his seat. “In Telangana, we won with three-fourth majority and they won one seat. Now our strength is 103, and with our friendly parties we have 110 out of 117… and you threaten us with Eknath Shinde? Is this democracy or conspiracy what kind of arrogance is this?” He raged.

Taking a jibe at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he mocked the BJP leader, saying that his state’s per capita income is one-fourth of Telangana’s and yet he comes to the state to give advice.

He further said that PM Modi is the “weakest PM” India has ever had. From regular rise in fuel prices to rising unemployment, “many scams, and hate crimes”, he said the PM is accountable.

He also took a dig at PM Modi and his party’s “double engine government” pitch.

“Thanks to Mr. Narendra Modi, we accept your offer of double engine government, The people of India should decide which double engine should come- BJP or non-BJP. The facts and figures say very clearly that India needs a non-BJP double engine government,” he said.
