Tripura Election 2023 Voting LIVE UPDATES: Voting begins in all 60 constituencies amid tight security

Tripura Assembly Election 2023 Live Updates: Polling for the 60-member Assembly is underway in Tripura amid tight security. The northeastern state is going to see a triangular fight between the BJP, the Congress-Left alliance and Tipra Motha, a regional party. The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) led by Mamata Banerjee is also trying its luck in the state. Polling will be held from 7 am to 4 pm. A total of 3,337 polling stations have been set up across the state, of which 1,100 have been identified as critical while 28 are critical. The counting of votes will take place on March 2. A total of 28.13 lakh voters, including 13.53 lakh women, will decide the fate of 259 candidates. Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Gitte Kirankumar Dinkaro said that all preparations have been completed to conduct free and fair elections.
