New Delhi:
Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao (‘KTR’) today hit back at the “silly trolls” who criticized the release of 11 rape and murder convicts in Gujarat’s Bilkis Bano case in the recent rape case in Hyderabad. alleging inaction.
The accused in the Hyderabad case were “rapidly arrested and sent to jail”, he tweeted. “After 45 days, the High Court granted them bail. The rapists have been released on bail due to loopholes in the Jubilee Justice Act, IPC and CrPC in the Jubilee Hills case,” he said.
Emphasizing his stand in the Bilkis Bano case, he said, “That is why I am demanding that these acts be amended so that no rapist gets bail and if convicted, he remains in jail till death.”

Earlier, he had criticized the release of 11 people sentenced to life imprisonment for the gang-rape of Ms. Bano and the murder of seven members of her family during the 2002 Gujarat riots.
KTR had tweeted, “This is a blot on the collective conscience of our nation.” Especially reacting to the guilty being welcomed with sweets and garlands.
He wrote, “What happened to Bilkis Bano today can happen to any of us tomorrow.”
The Gujarat government has said that the convicts – in jail since their conviction in 2008 – were released according to an exemption policy, when the Supreme Court asked the state to decide on a plea by one of them.
It is a blot on the collective consciousness of our nation
Rapists are being garlanded and treated like war heroes or freedom fighters!!!

As for the rape of a 17-year-old girl in Hyderabad’s Jubilee Hills about two months ago, five out of six accused are under the age of 18, meaning they are subject to relatively less stringent laws. . He got bail last month.
Saaduddin Malik, who is not a minor, got bail in early August after 61 days in prison. His counsel had argued that Malik was entitled to bail as the police investigation has been completed and charge sheet has also been filed.
