Out of 5,03,570 students registered to appear for Telangana 10th examination, 4,53,201 students have passed. The pass percentage is the lowest in three years with 90% of the students passing TS SSC. Not only has there been a drastic drop of 10 per cent marks as compared to last year, when 100% of all students were promoted, but the pass percentage has also gone down since 2019 – when TSBSE last conducted the board exams.
Since for the last two years, the Telangana Board is not conducting the examination, it seems that the result reflects the reality of learning among the students after two years of school closure and online classes. Telangana Board has decided to conduct two-hour classes daily for the failing students. Its purpose is to cover learning losses.
For those students who could not clear their examination, the Advanced Supplementary Examination will be conducted from August 1 to August 10.
girls outperformed boys
On the basis of gender, girls have performed better than boys as 92% of girls have passed the exam, while 87% of boys have cleared it.
Among private candidates, 51.89% of those who took the exam had cleared it. Here too, girls secured 12.55% higher pass percentage than boys as 46.21% boys and 58.76% girls cleared TS SSC exam in private mode.
Achieve 100% result in 3007 schools
3007 schools secured cent percent pass percentage. It means that all the students of his school have passed the exam. Also, 15 schools got 0% pass percentage, which means that none of the students from these schools could clear the TS SSC exam.
Hyderabad worst, Siddipet best performing district
Hyderabad remained the worst performing district like last year. This year, the best performing district was Siddipet, in which 97.85% students from the region cleared the exam. With a pass percentage of 79.63%, Hyderabad was the lowest performer.
