TTP job scam: Another prime accused arrested

Poojapura police on Monday arrested one of the main accused in the Travancore Titanium Products Limited (TTP) job scam. The accused has been identified as Shamnad, 38, a resident of Punalal. He and others had allegedly offered the Kanyakumari native’s son a job as a mechanical engineer for a payment of ₹12 lakh. He is accused of collecting ₹4 lakh directly at a location near Vijaya Mohini Mills in Poojapura, while asking the victim to transfer the rest of the money to his accounts. The police had earlier arrested the company’s former deputy general manager (marketing and legal) N. Sasikumaran Thampi and other accused were arrested in the case.
