KL Rahul scored 33 and Suryakumar Yadav scored 57 out of 33 runs. For Australia, Kane Richardson took four wickets while Glenn Maxwell and Ashton Agar took one wicket each.

Opting to bat first, India got off to a good start as opener KL Rahul patted the Australian bowlers around the field with 56 runs in just 5 overs of the innings. Rahul completed his fifty in just 27 balls. Captain Rohit Sharma also shifted gears and hit Glenn Maxwell for a six and a four in the sixth over of the innings.

Suryakumar Yadav and Kohli hit the Australian bowlers for fours, taking singles at regular intervals. Kohli’s stint at the crease was cut short when he was dismissed by Mitchell Starc for 19 off 13 balls. After this Hardik Pandya came out to bat, but could not do much and was dismissed after scoring just two runs. India kept losing wickets at regular intervals as the batsmen struggled against the Australian bowlers after 10 overs.

After this Dinesh Karthik came out to bat. He tried to pull but it went straight to the fielder at deep mid-wicket off Richardson. Karthik was dismissed after playing a cameo of 20 runs in 14 balls. However, Suryakumar continued the massacre. He bundled out Pat Cummins for 14 in the 18th over of the innings. In the last over of the innings, Suryakumar completed his fifty for 33. In the last over of the innings, Richardson dealt back-to-back blows to India to dismiss Suryakumar and Ravichandran Ashwin to restrict the Men in Blue to a total. 186/7 in 20 overs of the innings.
