Two arrested for theft in trains

The Government Railway Police in Secunderabad on Friday arrested two persons for theft in trains. They recovered gold ornaments weighing around 9.4 tola and Rs 1.68 lakh in cash from the accused.

Displaying the seizure at a media conference on Saturday, police said that the two – Shaitan Patel and Vikas Patel, both childhood friends, from Bettiah in Bihar, were involved in 13 cases.

Driver from business at his native place, he started stealing as he was addicted to alcohol and needed money. They had come to Hyderabad earlier this year and planned to steal trains. In two cases, the police said that the accused had food with some medicines and offered it to the passengers before committing the crime.
