Two arrested including 19-year-old sharpshooter for killing Moose Wale

The accused has been identified as Ankit alias Chhota, a resident of Sonipat in Haryana. According to Special CP (Special Cell) HGS Dhaliwal, Ankit is bisexual and he fired two pistols at Mr. Moosewala. Mr. Dhaliwal said, “He was closest to Sidhu Musewala’s vehicle while firing and is a close associate of the main shooters Priyavrata and belongs to the same area.”

Police said that after killing Moosewala, Ankit kept changing his hideout in Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Delhi. “He is involved in two previous incidents of firing in April this year, which was done on the instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi,” Mr. Dhalewal said. According to sources, before joining the gang, Ankit was working in a private company in Sirsa, Haryana.

“He was the youngest in the team of sharpshooters and left class 9. He had joined the gang only two months back and was involved in two previous incidents of firing, one of which was intended to extort money from a realtor in Ganganagar Rajasthan,” said a senior police officer. Police said the accused persons changed 35 places after the murder

The second accused arrested is Sachin Bhiwani (25). Bhiwani is also a member of Lawrence Bishnoi gang and had given shelter to Mr. Moosewala’s shooters. “It has its own nexus in the border areas of Haryana, Rajasthan and Punjab,” the police said.

“Soon after the murder, Bhiwani provided shelter to modules of four shooters and helped them escape to Haryana, Rajasthan and other states and provided them shelter there,” police said. A police source said Bhiwani was Bishnoi’s “right hand” and used to work closely with Bishnoi on important tasks.

Mr. Dhaliwal said that he is also wanted in a case of extortion recently in Churu, Rajasthan, which he also carried out this year on the instructions of Lawrence Bishnoi-Sampat Nehra alliance.

Police said they received a tip-off on Sunday that two members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang were coming to the ISBT in the national capital to “commit a heinous crime”. Following this, a trap was laid and they were nabbed by the deployed police team.

On May 29, a Punjabi singer was allegedly shot dead by members of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Punjab’s Mansa district. On June 19, the Special Cell had arrested sharpshooters Priyavrat, Kashish and Keshav, who revealed the involvement of other accused in the interrogation.
