New Delhi: Farmers on Saturday march to parliament, which was scheduled for 29 November. The march was announced by Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait,
“United Kisan Morcha has decided to postpone the proposed tractor rally in Parliament on November 29,” farmer leader Darshan Pal Singh said after a meeting.
This comes two days before the Center is set to introduce a bill in Parliament during the upcoming winter session to repeal all three agricultural law, The winter session of Parliament will begin on November 29 and end on December 23.
The United Kisan Morcha (SKM) will wait for the government’s formal response to the six demands of the farmers and then meet again on December 4 to decide on the next course of action. The Joint Forum of Kisan Sangh also urged the government to give written assurance to the farmers to give legal guarantee for the purchase of crops. MSP until 4th of December

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill to repeal three agriculture laws, leading to nearly a year-long protest by thousands of farmers at various border points in Delhi.

Tomar told ANI, “Farmer organizations had demanded that stubble burning by farmers should be decriminalized. The Indian government has also accepted this demand.”
“PM Narendra Modi has announced the formation of a committee to deliberate on the issues of crop diversification, zero budget farming, and making the MSP system more transparent and effective. The committee will have representatives from farmer organizations. With the formation of the committee, the demand of farmers on MSP has been fulfilled.”
Before the SKM meeting, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh (Haryana) President Gurnam Singh Chaduni said, “In today’s meeting, there are two-three main issues, MSP, return of cases, compensation to farmers, electricity bill, among others. We will . Discuss our schedule which we have scheduled for November 29.”
On Tomar’s statement that the government would constitute a committee on the issue of MSP, the farmer leader said, “The committee has been constituted many times, not just once. I do not agree with the committee. We will not be satisfied with the committee.” Till we don’t get any concrete written proof that how they will work on MSP and in how much time they will legislate for it, we will keep fighting for it.
In a major move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 19 November announced the repeal of three central agricultural laws.
However, BKU leader Rakesh Tikait said that the farmers will go home after the government accepts the demand of the farmers. law on minimum support price (MSP).
“We will withdraw our protest and go home after the government accepts our demand for a law on Minimum Support Price (MSP). We do not intend to stay at the Delhi border till January 26. If the government accepts our demand On MSP and compensation for 750 farmers killed during the protest, then we will go back home,” Tikait had said.
Farmers have been protesting against agriculture laws at various borders of Delhi since November 26, 2020.
