Two girls killed after car crashes into state-run bus in Maharashtra: Police

Yavatmal, Maharashtra:

Two girls, aged 8 and 11, were killed in Yavatmal district on Wednesday when iron pipes mounted on top of a Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) SUV came under them, police said.

The incident took place in Kamathwada in the afternoon, an official said.

An SUV carrying iron pipes on its roof rammed into the bus, he said.

The pipe hit the side of the bus, seriously injuring two girls who were sitting on the window seats, the official said.
