Two painters were left hanging from the 26th floor of a skyscraper in Thailand after a woman cut a support rope. Police said on Wednesday that the woman, a resident of the skyscraper, was reportedly upset that she was not informed before starting work.

One of the activists spoke to the media and said that he and two of his colleagues were lowering themselves from the 32nd floor when they felt their support ropes loosen.

Finally a resident named Prafaivan Setting and her husband helped both the workers. The third worker was safe and was supporting his co-workers from above. “This incident is shocking and should not happen at all.” Ms Setting was quoted by the New York Post as saying.

Authorities are yet to reveal the reasons for the 34-year-old’s actions. by provinceThe woman, whose identity has not been revealed, initially denied playing any role in the act. However, on Wednesday he confessed when the police showed him surveillance footage and told that his fingerprints were found on the rope. According to local media, the woman was annoyed to find workers from her condo outside her window without notice.

Colonel Pongjak Prechakarunpong, chief of the Pak Crete Police, said the woman was arrested on charges of attempted murder and destruction of property. He told the police that he did not intend to kill the workers. The New York Post reports that if convicted of attempt to murder, he could face up to 20 years in prison.
