Two Lashkar terrorists killed in Pulwama

A total of 13 terrorists have been killed in intensifying the operation against the militants.

Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists, including one behind the killing of policemen, were killed in south Kashmir’s Pulwama on Saturday.

“A top Lashkar commander, Umar Mushtaq Khande, was killed along with an associate in an encounter at Pampore (in Pulwama). The bodies were pulled out from the rubble after an eight-hour search,” said Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar.

Khande, a resident of Tulagh in Pampore, was involved in the killing of two policemen in Srinagar’s Baghat on February 19 last.

A total of 13 terrorists have been killed in the intensified operation against terrorists in Kashmir. These operations were launched soon after the terrorists killed seven civilians in the Valley.

Police claimed that they rescued a man who was allegedly abducted by unidentified gunmen in Nikloora area of ​​south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

“One terrorist’s brother Shakeel Ahmed has been rescued,” police said.

On the increasing incidents of attacks on civilians, Mr. Kumar said it was not possible to provide security to all easy targets. “There is no lapse on the security front. Soft targets were attacked which were not provided by us. It is not possible to provide protection to every soft target.”
