Two youths who were hit by a speeding car in Rajkot died on the spot. Rajkot News – Times of India

Rajkot: Two youths died after being hit by a speeding car on Gondal Road in Rajkot at around 2.30 am on Tuesday. Both were walking home from their workplace, Pav Bhaji restaurant. The three occupants of the car fled away leaving the vehicle at the accident spot.
According to the police, both the victims have been identified as Santosh alias Babu Rao (18) and Sunil alias Sonu Verma (19). He was a native of Birpur village in Uttar Pradesh. Santosh got married three months ago and came to Rajkot for livelihood. Sonu Been working here since last one year. Both lived in a rented room near the restaurant.
restaurant owner Girish Dharmadasani Told the police, “I was locking my restaurant after all the employees left. I suddenly heard a bang and the lights went out. I ran on the road and saw that Santosh and Sunil were hit by a speeding car. After hitting the car, the car rammed into an electric pole.”
According to the police, Dharmadasani saw three people leaving the car and running.
“The car was being driven at a speed of around 100 km/h. Two youths have suffered serious head injuries. Dharmadasani immediately called 108 ambulance but both died before the ambulance arrived,” Rajkot A Division police said.
The car is owned by Jaideep Sardhara, a resident of 150 feet Ring Road. After getting the news of the accident, he presented himself before the police on Wednesday morning. He told the police that he had given the car to a person named Bhavesh Gadvi for a ride. Gadhvi was introduced to him by his cousin and he wanted to sell the car. Gadhvi had borrowed the car from him for a test drive.
