Uddhav Thackeray-led army changed its chief whip in Lok Sabha; Rajan Vichare in place of Bhavna Gawli

The Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena on Wednesday named Lok Sabha MP Rajan Vichare as the party’s chief whip in place of MP Bhavna Gawli in the lower house of Parliament. In a letter to Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi, party leader Sanjay Raut said, “You are informed that Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party has nominated MP (LS) Rajan Vichare as Chief Whip in place of MP Bhavna Gawli. (ls), with immediate effect.”

Raut is the leader of the Shiv Sena Parliamentary Party.

Gawli represents the Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha constituency in Maharashtra and was one of the Shiv Sena MPs who suggested that the party should re-align with the BJP amid the Eknath Shinde rebellion.
