UGC NET Result 2022 Expected Tomorrow: Know Passing Marks, Last Year’s Cut-Off

UGC NET 2022 The result is expected to be released by tomorrow. National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the final answer keys for the merged cycles of UGC NET of December 2021 and June 2022 before releasing the result. However, the agency is yet to make an official announcement on the date. Once out, the final answer key and result will be available at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

NTA had earlier released a provisional answer key for UGC NET. The window for raising objections was open till October 26. The exam is conducted every year to determine eligibility for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship posts in universities and colleges across the country.

UGC NET Result: Passing Marks, Previous Year Cut-Off

Unreserved category candidates need to score at least 40 percentile, while reserved category candidates need to score minimum 35 percentile. Not only in aggregate, candidates have to clear each paper separately. In Paper 1, unreserved candidates have to score 40 marks out of 100, while reserved category candidates have to score 35 out of 100. In Paper 2, candidates have to score 70-75 marks out of 200, for candidates belonging to OBC and EWS categories. The minimum marks will be 65 to 70, 60 to 65 for SC and 55 to 60 for ST.

UGC NET 2022 was conducted in four phases from July 9 to October 14. NTA usually announces the results of UGC NET in a month or less. In 2021, UGC NET was conducted from November 20 to December 5. It was postponed due to a cyclone and was later held between December 24 and 30.

In 2020, the results were however delayed and released after 2 months. The examination was concluded on 29 September and the results were declared on 1 December of the same year. In 2019, UGC NET concluded on 6 December and the result was released on 31 December in less than a month, while the June 2019 exam ended on 28 June and the results were declared on 15 July.
