The National Testing Agency had earlier released a provisional answer key for the test, and the response period ended on October 26. On November 2, the UGC NET final answer key was shared with the candidates.

UGC NET Exam 2022 was conducted in four phases from July to October. The exam was held for the combined cycle of December 2021 and June 2022.

As per the UGC NET cut-off 2022 notice, the minimum qualifying marks for general category is 40 percent and for reserved category is 35 percent. Based on the reservation scheme of the Government of India, the total number of slots will be divided into different categories.

The UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship posts in universities and colleges.

The UGC NET December 2021 and June 2022 cycles were merged as the December 2021 exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, NTA decided to combine the December 2021 and June 2022 cycles to reduce the impact on the candidates and to make the examination cycle more consistent.
