Gidikumar Patil has urged the Indian government to help rescue these two cats. Patil says that he misses her badly and fears for her safety. Patil had to flee to Poland after the situation in Luhansk deteriorated. They left their pets with a local farmer, but now fear for their well being. After the war broke out, he had to spend about $300 a day to feed his cats. As he decided to leave the place to earn some money, he says he left food for his pet in the freezer for three months and also paid $2,400 as wages for 3 months . According to reports, he sold most of his belongings for about a million dollars and went to Poland. Dr Gidikumar Patil says that they had to run in search of alternative sources of income so that they can take care of their pets and also run a breeding programme. He bought his pet from a zoo in Kyiv about two years ago.
