UK’s Johnson faces calls on Omicron to curb virus – Times of India

LONDON: British Prime Minister Boris Johnson on Monday faced pressure to tighten restrictions to stem the spread of the coronavirus. omicron Different, despite opposition to doing so before Christmas.

There was also public anger over claims that Johnson and his employees broke social-distancing rules last year by organizing parties in Downing Street and other government departments.
Unlike some of Britain’s closest neighbors on the European mainland, there has yet to be any official guidance on restricting socialization.

The Times said 10 ministers were face-to-face with scientific advisers who want the new restrictions, questioning the accuracy of their modeling.
