Unhappy with previous rank, Uttar Pradesh boy again secures rank 4 for NEET

While many students find it difficult to crack the national-level medical entrance exam – NEET, Aman Kumar Tripathi from Uttar Pradesh has done it twice. He appeared for NEET for the first time in 2020. Claiming that he appeared only after self-study and ranked 30,000 series in the first attempt, the Banda native said he knew he could do better. Thus, Aman skipped a year and started focused preparation for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2021. This year Aman has managed to achieve All India Rank 4.

He scored 716 out of 720 in NEET 2021. In the 2020 exam, Aman had secured a rank of 30,000, which he claims did not get him a good college. “I couldn’t find a good college, but I knew I could do better, so I decided to drop in and prepare for medical admission,” he told News18.com. He had prepared for the second attempt from Allen Coaching Institute.

While his father Rajendra Prasad Tripathi is a teacher in a government school, his mother Meera Tripathi is a homemaker. He also has a brother who is preparing for the state level Provincial Civil Services (PCS). “I always wanted to be a doctor and it was my father’s dream too,” he says, adding that he wants to join AIIMS Delhi for his graduation.

Till the eighth standard, Aman attended a school in Banda, after which he moved to Lucknow for further studies. He completed class 10 with 97.2 percent from Central Academy Lucknow and class 12 with 95.8 percent from Loyola International School affiliated to CBSE. After class 12th, he moved to Kota for his coaching classes to prepare for NEET 2021.

Like other NEET toppers, he also mostly focused on practice questions from the modules of Physics and Chemistry along with class notes from NCERTs. He did not have any fixed time or schedule for preparation. Like her Fellow NEET 2021 Aspirant and AIR 1 Hrutul Chhag, he also used to study on the basis of subjects and subjects every day. “I used to set some topics every day and thought I had to finish it on the same day, no matter how long it took,” says Aman.

“I started my paper with biology, followed by chemistry and physics. Since this year’s exam pattern had two sections, firstly, from section A, I solved all the four sections Zoology, Botany, Chemistry and Physics. Then I attempted section B. After completing section A about 80 percent of the answers were complete and so I felt a little relaxed and got energy to do the next section,” he said, adding, “For me, attempting questions like this worked. walked. in my favor. Due to COVID-19, shifting from offline classes to online caused some problems for the 18-year-old, however, he says he has “adjusted”.
