UP Assembly Elections: BJP launches ‘Prabuddha Sammelan’ in 18 cities

Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya held a meeting in Kanpur, while state BJP chief Swatantra Dev Singh addressed a meeting in Ayodhya

Ahead of the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, the BJP launched its ‘Prabuddha Sammelan’ (meeting of intellectuals) in 18 cities on Sunday, September 5, 2021, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressing a meeting in Varanasi.

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya held a similar meeting in Kanpur, while state BJP President Swatantra Dev Singh addressed a meeting in Ayodhya.

During his meeting in Ayodhya, Mr Singh alleged that in 1966 former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had ordered to shoot at saints who had gathered around Parliament, while the Samajwadi Party opened fire on devotees of Lord Ram in Ayodhya in 1990. had ordered.

“These bullets were fired on the ideology of India’s culture and nationalism. The whole of India places its faith in Lord Ram. Lord Ram resides in every part of this place. After independence, the Congress government denied the existence of Lord Ram. Then the Congress government did not accept Ram Setu. Words like Hindu terrorism were coined,” Mr Singh claimed.

State General Secretary (Organisation) Sunil Bansal addressed a meeting in the state capital Lucknow.

Meanwhile, BJP Mahila Morcha National General Secretary Indu Bala Goswami highlighted the importance of women in strengthening the organisation.

“We have to take the message of the organization to the people and bring the party back to power in the state,” he said here.

Ms. Goswami had a detailed discussion with the Morcha members on the work done by the Central and State Governments for women.
