Intermediate Exam 2022 22,37,578 candidates took the exam out of which 19,90,249 passed. In 2022, 85.33 per cent students who appeared for the Class 12 board exams passed it successfully. This is lower than the 97.88 percent of the pass percentage in 2021, yet higher than the pre-pandemic years. The pass rate for girls was again high here at 90.15 per cent, while the pass rate for boys was 81.21 per cent. In the UP Intermediate examination in 2021, boys passed at the rate of 97.47 per cent, while girls passed at the rate of 98.4 per cent.

This year the evaluation process ended on March 31 and the student’s marks are currently being tabulated. For evaluation of 3.19 crore answer sheets, UPMSP nominated 1,43,933 expert examiners. The total number of answer sheets of students in class 10 and 12 were 1.86 and 1.33 crore respectively.
Over 58 lakh students collectively registered for the High School (Class 10) and Intermediate (Class 12) board exams this year. In 2023, 31,16,487 students had enrolled for class 10 exams and 27,69,258 students had registered for class 12 exams.
