UP Board Result 2023: Passing Marks, Compartment Exam

To pass the UP board exam in 2023, the minimum score of the students should be 33 percentile. Students who have obtained poor results in one or more subjects in the Uttar Pradesh Board Exam can appear for the compartment exam. Students who have disagreement with the evaluation of class 10th and class 12th will have the opportunity to review their answer sheets through the UP Board revaluation link.

Along with releasing the UP Board exam results, the board will issue a notification for the students to re-review their answer sheets. To be eligible for scrutiny, students who wish to submit a request for scrutiny must pay the application fee within the time limit specified in the notification. This year, UPMSP tasked 1,43,933 examiners to review 3.19 crore student response sheets.

There has been a steady rise in the UP Board’s class 10th and class 12th pass rates, which have consistently crossed the cutoff point of 85 per cent. Last year, the UP Board Class 10 results showed that the overall pass rate was 88.18 percent. In 2022, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 91.6 per cent, while the pass percentage of boys was 85.25 per cent. With respect to pass rates, Gautam Budh Nagar scored better than all other districts, followed by Etawah and Amethi.

In 2022, 85.33 percent of the students who appeared in the 12th board examination passed it. There were 22,37,578 candidates who took the intermediate exam in 2022 and out of them 19,90,249 passed. In 2022, 85.33 per cent students who appeared for the Class 12 board exams passed it. Although this is lower than the pass rate of 97.88 percent in 2021, it is still higher than the years before the pandemic. Once again, girls outperformed boys in this instance with a pass percentage of 90.15 per cent as against 81.21 per cent for boys. Male students passed the UP Intermediate exam in 2021 at a pass rate of 97.47 per cent, while the rate for female students was 98.4 per cent.
