Prayagraj: Congressmen became beggars, it sounds strange to hear. but it is true that a group of Congress Workers gathered outside Abdullah Mosque on Friday Katju came on the road and sought votes for the party candidate taslimuddin Contesting election from Allahabad West assembly constituency.
Party’s District Spokesperson Haseeb Ahmadi told TOI that “A group of Congress workers have turned into beggars, seeking support for the candidate contesting from the party Allahabad North Meeting”.
“We have opted for this unique idea to garner support for the party’s candidate and have appealed to the worshipers to come out of the mosque after offering Friday prayers and vote for the party,” he said.
With the polling date approaching, the workers of political parties including Congress are leaving no stone unturned to attract the voters and are also making new schemes to woo them.
As part of a well-planned strategy and for the support of the Muslim community for Congress, a group of Congress workers with posters and handbills reached outside the Abdullah Masjid and started asking for votes from the worshipers after they came out of the mosque.
Congress workers also apprised the voters of the reason why they are seeking votes as they want to replace the BJP-led state government in the state in this assembly election.
UPCC General Secretary, Mukund Tiwari He said, “As AICC general secretary and in-charge of UP, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Started the election campaign in the state and raised the issues of public welfare, the people of the state are now looking towards the Congress for the overall development of the state and better law and order situation. He further said that people are feeling cheated in the BJP-led state government and want change.
Meanwhile, Haseeb said that the party has strengthened its organizational structure in all the 12 assembly seats in the district and the party’s candidates are seeking public support during the campaign.
