UP elections: ‘Double engine’ government brought double corruption in UP: Akhilesh Yadav

UP Election 2022: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday alleged that the “double engine” government has brought “double corruption” in Uttar Pradesh and promised to set up a corpus fund of Rs 10,000 crore to ensure timely payments to farmers.

“Double engine government has brought double corruption in Uttar Pradesh. He accused the BJP of hiding the real death toll in the state due to Covid and highlighted how corpses were seen floating in the river Ganga during the pandemic. He also hit out at the government over the protests at Delhi’s borders against three agricultural laws.

“We will build a memorial for the farmers who lost their lives during the protest and will give a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to the families of those who died due to Kovid,” he said. Yadav said that the election is to protect the constitution, brotherhood and unity of the country. Speaking before him, Choudhary said, “BJP is planning to hike petrol and diesel prices after coming to power in Uttar Pradesh. “We assure you that after we come to power, the recruitment will be done in a time bound manner. The industrialization which was required in the region will be done after coming to power,” he said.
