UP Elections: PM Modi launches several development initiatives in Varanasi, addresses huge rally in his parliamentary constituency. India News – Times of India

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Visited his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Thursday and laid the foundation stone of 27 projects worth Rs 2095 crore.

This is Modi’s second visit to his constituency in 10 days. He had come here on December 13 to inaugurate the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor.
PM Modi Unveiled several projects in the field of education and health.
What did the PM say in his address-
In a veiled attack on the opposition, PM Modi said that some people have made it a crime to talk about cows, but for us, cows are worshiped as mothers.
* Strengthening India’s dairy sector is one of the top priorities of our government, the PM said.
*”Talking about cow and ‘Govardhan’ has been made a crime by some. Cow may be a crime for some people but for us cow is revered as mother.
* PM said, people who make fun of cow and buffalo forget that the livelihood of 8 crore families of the country is run by such animals.
* The PM said that the production of milk in the country has increased by about 45 percent compared to 6-7 years ago. He said that India’s share in the world’s milk production is about 22 percent.
* In an apparent attack on the Samajwadi Party, Modi said that his dictionary includes “mafiaism” and “familyism”.
* Priority for us is ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,’ said PM?
Here are the details of the projects that the PM inaugurated in UP today-
* Modi reached here in the morning and laid the foundation stone ofBanas Dairy Sankul” at UP State Industrial Development Authority Food Park, Karkhian, Varanasi.
* Spread over 30 acres of land, this dairy will be constructed at a cost of about Rs 475 crore and will have the facility to process 5 lakh liters of milk per day.
* PM Modi digitally transferred bonus of around Rs 35 crore to the bank accounts of over 1.7 lakh milk producers associated with Banas Dairy.
* He laid the foundation stone of Biogas based power generation plant for Milk Producers Cooperative Union Plant, Ramnagar, Varanasi.
* He launched a portal and logo dedicated to the Conformity Assessment Scheme of milk products developed by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) with the help of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
* According to the PMO, the unified logo, which will have both BIS and NDDB quality marks, will simplify the certification process for the dairy sector and assure the public about the quality of the dairy product.
* PM virtually distributed rural housing rights record ‘Gharauni’ under the ownership scheme of Union Ministry of Panchayati Raj to over 20 lakh residents of Uttar Pradesh.
* He also inaugurated several urban development projects in Varanasi.
* These include 6 projects for redevelopment of old Kashi wards, a parking and ground floor park at Beniyabagh, beautification of two ponds, a sewage treatment plant at village Ramna and provision of advanced surveillance cameras at 720 locations under Smart City Mission.
* PM Modi inaugurated 50 bedded Integrated AYUSH Hospital in Bhadrasi.
He also laid the foundation stone of Rs 49 crore Government Homeopathic Medical College in Pindra Tehsil under AYUSH Mission.
*Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for two ‘4 to 6 lane’ road widening projects for Prayagraj and Bhadohi roads.
* The projects are believed to improve connectivity of Varanasi and will be a step towards solving the city’s problem of traffic congestion.
* Other projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister include International Rice Research Institute, a speed breeding facility at South Asia Regional Center Varanasi, a Regional Reference Standards Laboratory at village Payakpur and an Advocates Bhawan in Tehsil Pindra.
