UP government announces hike in salaries of part-time trainers, cooks

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced an increase in the honorarium of part-time trainers and cooks in the Basic Education Department. 2,000 more 500 per month respectively.

The CM also announced that arrangements would be made to send money for two saris, an apron and a cap to the cooks directly in their accounts.

Along with this, health insurance cover will also be given to the cooks. 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat Yojana or Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana, said an official release issued here.

According to the release, 27,546 trainers and 3,78,000 cooks will benefit from this decision.

Addressing cooks and part-time trainers at an event, the CM said that now cooks will not be fired arbitrarily.

He said that ways to improve the services and promotion mechanism for part-time trainers would be discussed in the times to come so that they could get guaranteed job.

Adityanath claimed that changes in the Basic Education Department and other departments in the last four-and-a-half years have changed the perception of the people towards the state.

He called it the result of a collective effort.

After the new increase, the honorarium of the cooks will be 2,000.
