The Special Task Force (STF) of the Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday said it has arrested the Varanasi city head of a company that conducted online entrance exams for primary teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas.

It states that the accused Manish Rastogi, a resident of Lank police station area of ​​Varanasi, is part of an inter-state gang, which used to help candidates solve exam papers by hacking computers.

The entrance examination for primary teachers of Kendriya Vidyalayas was held on Saturday.

In a statement, the STF said it had received information that in the online entrance test conducted in Varanasi and adjoining districts, the computer nodes allotted to some candidates were accessed through local area network (LAN) or proxy servers by the Prayagraj-based solver. I went. District.

In this connection, 21 members of the interstate solver gang were arrested on Saturday. After learning about the arrest, Rastogi was on the run, but was arrested.

The STF said that a case each has been registered in connection with the matter at Shivpur and Chitaipur police stations under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the IT Act.
