Ahead of its debut in the coming months, the new Brezza has been snapped at the shoot of an advertisement. Spy shots have helped us compare it to the current-gen Vitara Brezza. Here’s what the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to pack on its predecessor –

Exterior shots reveal that the new Brezza will see a lot of changes in comparison to the current-gen model. These changes include a new grille up front, sleeker headlamps with L-shaped daytime running lights. moving to the sides, 2022 Brezza The new set of diamond-cut alloy wheels gets a more substantial plastic body cladding. The rear quarter glass also seems to have grown in size.
At the rear, the updated SUV will be equipped with slim wraparound LED taillights with ‘Brezza’ lettering just below the Suzuki emblem. The compact SUV will get faux skid plates at the front and rear, which gives the car a sporty look.
interior
The cabin of the new generation Brezza will be completely redesigned. Previous spy shots have suggested that the SUV will be equipped with a floating touchscreen infotainment system which can be up to 9 inches in size. The car will also get a new flat-bottom steering wheel with paddle shifters, as well as a redesigned instrument cluster with a multi-info display in the middle.

powertrain
Powering the 2022 Maruti Brezza will be the same new 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine that does the duty on the recently launched new XL6 and Ertiga. The new engine will produce 103 PS of maximum power and 136.8 Nm of torque, 2 PS and 1.2 Nm less output than the outgoing version. The engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, as well as a new 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission that will replace the 4-speed AT. The new AT gearbox will be offered with paddle shifters.
Device
In terms of features and safety technology, the new Brezza is expected to come equipped with wireless charger, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, electronic stability control, six airbags, a 360-degree camera and Suzuki Connect connected-car technology. Like the Baleno, the 2022 Brezza may also get an Arkamys-tuned sound system.
Moreover, the spy shots also point to the fact that the new-gen Brezza will be offered with a factory-fitted electric sunroof, which will be the first Maruti Suzuki car to be available with this feature in the country.
cost
Prices for the current generation Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza start at Rs 7.84 lakh, and go up to Rs 11.49 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom) for the range-topping automatic trim. However, the introduction of the new-gen variant will surely lead to a hike in the prices. Prices for the 2022 Brezza SUV may start from around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom).
