As part of its digital services, Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) allows its customers to update their details online. Account holders should have their Universal Account Number (UAN) to avail this service.
Using UAN, PF account holders can view their pension fund details at one place, track the transaction history done with the PF account and even the bank details linked to the account can update. EPF customers can easily change or update their bank details from the comfort of their home using this method.
To update bank details for your PF account online, follow these steps:
- Visit the official website of EFPO and log in using your credentials.
- Click on the ‘Manage’ tab on the top menu.
- Go to the ‘KYC’ option from the drop down menu and select ‘Bank’ in the document type.
- Enter new bank details including bank account number and IFSC code.
- Click ‘Save’ to submit the updated bank details. The details will then appear under the KYC Pending Approval section.
- Submit the required documents to your employer. Remember, for SBI customers, the bank will do the verification through digital means only.
- Once the KYC verification is complete, the status of your service request will be updated to the digitally accepted KYC.
- EPFO will send a confirmation message after the bank details are verified by the employer or SBI.
