We bring you a healthy and wholesome dancer Upma recipe which also includes goodness of jowar, barja, cashew nuts, raisins, shredded coconut, coconut milk, coconut oil, mustard seeds, curry leaves, kashmiri red chillies, onions, ginger, green peas, salt and sugar to taste .

Method for making Nachni Upma:

Soak millet in water overnight and boil till done. Then heat oil in a pan, add chillies and fry till the smoke comes out. Keep aside for garnishing. Again heat the oil in a pan and prepare the tempering of mustard seeds and curry leaves. Fry shallots and ginger in oil. Add boiled jowar, bajra and nachni. Toss it quickly. Add grated coconut and some cashews and raisins. Add water and let it boil. Add coconut and season with salt and sugar. Cover with a lid and cook on a low-medium flame till almost done.
